Noshir has had the pleasure to roll dice with the amazing folks at Critical Role in three different adventures: his first foray into TTRPGs was Candela Obscura where he played Prof. Rajan Savarimuthu, he walked amongst gods in Downfall, playing a loveable construct known as The Emissary, and then faced deep sea horrors with his UK friends as Hercules de Baudin in Thresher. Every experience at the table has been a gift, and he can't wait to join his friends, old and new, for a wonderful adventure here at BurgQuest.
-
Roleplaying has been a longtime joy and a lifeline for Sarah, whether as a safe place to explore identity and confidence away from the pressures of high school (Vampire: The Masquerade) or as a safe place to explore identity and confidence away from a global pandemic and fighting capitalism (homebrew campaign built on Powered by the Apocalypse, GMed by the amazing Nick Fortugno.) She loves D&D, but even after 10 years needs embarrassing refreshers on the rules and world... which is why she is unduly proud of ending a season of liveplay on Facebook with a pretty damn stacked and memorable turn (The Maze on Planet 7, which used live audience voting to dramatically impact gameplay and story. Sarah played a Scottish squidboy pirate and she misses him.)

The stars have aligned and you have gathered your TTRPG party for a grand adventure. How do you know whether the session you planned will take your party one hour to complete, or four? How do you add or remove elements on the fly so your party has an engaging and memorable experience without one-shotting the big bad, or being rushed through a 30-room dungeon crawl? In this workshop, we will discuss a modular design approach for TTRPG sessions with the goal of filling exactly the amount of time your party has to play. Participation will be encouraged, as attendees apply this approach solo or in small groups to create a rough outline for a modular TTRPG session. We will reconvene at the end to discuss our results. The focus will be 5th Edition D&D, but the tools discussed will be applicable to most TTRPG systems.

Almost everyone knows that D&D is the first TTRPG, but it is far from the only RPG with such a storied history. Now in its seventh Edition, RuneQuest is a TTRPG with almost as long a history as D&D, and its setting, the world of Glorantha, has the unique distinction of being the only TTRPG Setting that has been in near constant development for over forty years. Enter a Swords and Sandals World where every Adventurer can call on the power of the Gods, where the laws of Myth underpin every facet of existence, and where a Hero can make such an impact on the world that they carve their legend into the fabric of reality itself. Kept alive through a dedicated fan base now directly involved in its continuation, RuneQuest in its current edition is undergoing what is being called the "Gloranthan Renaissance." and there has never been a better time to discover Glorantha for yourself and your table.
