EXPLORE WILLIAMSBURG

The BurgQuest event venue is approximately one mile from downtown Williamsburg, where dozens of fantastic eateries and shops await. The Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center - a parking lot away from the event venue - offers continuous shuttle service throughout the day. Additionally, BurgQuest is providing free door-to-downtown shuttle service during lunch and dinner hours on Saturday, September 21.

Williamsburg Farmers Market

The Williamsburg Farmers Market features 40 vendors focused on produce, prepared food and farm related products grown or made in Virginia and has been serving between 1,000 and 1,500 people on any given Saturday.  The market is both a local favorite and an attraction for visitors from around the world. Before BurgQuest opens on Saturday morning, treat yourself to a leisurely stroll through the market: the perfect place for a morning pick-me-up after a long Friday night of gaming!

OPERA IN WILLIAMSBURG

Opera in Williamsburg presents Lucia di Lammermoor - a live fully-staged opera in its original Italian with English supertitles - in the historic downtown Kimball Theatre. Performances are taking place on Friday and Sunday - a lovely opportunity to inject some classical culture into your weekend of gaming!

Bassett Trace Nature Trail Walk

Take a leisurely stroll on the Bassett Trace Nature Trail and learn about Virginia's wildlife and native habitats. On this guided tour, Colonial Williamsburg Master Naturalist volunteers discuss flora and fauna seen along the trail and the importance of conservation. The walk, which begins at the trail's head by the Griffin Hotel parking lot, is about a half-mile round trip. Afterward, hikers may walk the 1.4-mile trail, which ends at the Green Course Clubhouse. Another great way to get outdoors for some lovely Williamsburg fall foliage on Saturday morning.

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream

Autumn in the ‘burg means spooky season at Busch Gardens, where Howl-O-Scream offers a creepily fantastic collection of haunted houses, scare zones, spooky shows, and fall eats… on top of all the year-round rides. (It’s also the last weekend of the season for Water Country USA, if that’s more your vibe.)
