Yes! The overall BurgQuest event is family friendly and discounted passes are available for guests ages 6-12. Guests 5 and under can attend for free. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while at the event venue. Some panel presentations may be marked as more appropriate for teens or 18 and older.

Yes! Food and drink are available on site at the Sports & Events Center cafe.
For offsite dining, many Williamsburg restaurants are located within close driving distance of the venue, from quick service to formal dining. -
Submissions for game developers and Marketplace vendors are being accepted on a rolling basis. Open applications are available via this page.

Yes! If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get your friends around the table to finally play that game you’ve been hoping to get into, BurgQuest is certainly a great time and place to do it. Games will also be available to check out of our free library and will be available for purchase from attending vendors.

As of now we do not have any opportunities for volunteers. Should positions open up, they will be announced through our email listserv and Instagram.

Weapons that can cause harm are not allowed. Specifically, but not limited to:
Functional firearms - that includes: paintball, airsoft, bb guns, cap guns, any gun that shoots a real projectile or can cause an explosion
Realistic firearms – any gun that could be mistaken for a real one. Realistic prop guns with brightly colored caps and prop weapons made of hard material such as metal, wood, or glass are not allowed
Functional projectile weapons – any weapon (crossbow, slingshot, etc) that discharges a projectile
Metal-bladed weapons
Whips
Explosives
Blunt weapons such as bats, clubs, or hockey sticks
Loud props such as whistles, horns, etc.
Prop weapons are allowed, if they meet the following criteria:
They are composed of cardboard, foam, or a light material. Prop firearms are allowed only if they cannot be mistaken for real weapons.
Prop bows will be allowed providing all arrows have soft tips and will not be shot.
Prop weapons will be allowed into BurgQuest at the discretion of BurgQuest staff and uniformed security personnel. Safety is paramount, we will always err on the side of caution. There will be no place to store prohibited weapons on-site. If you have a weapon that is prohibited, you will be escorted from the building and not allowed back in with the weapon. Any violations to this policy may result in you being asked to leave BurgQuest without a refund.

All badge sales are final and nonrefundable, though purchased badges can be transferred to another guest at check-in during the event.

CODE OF CONDUCT
By purchasing and picking up a BurgQuest badge, event attendees and participants agree to the festival’s Code of Conduct.
BurgQuest’s mission is to celebrate tabletop gaming and those who enjoy it. We strive to create a fun, respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for all guests and participants regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or nationality.
All attendees are expected to respect boundaries and be considerate in their speech and actions to other guests and event staff.
Any form of harassment or threatening, including but not limited to verbal, physical, or sexual abuse will not be tolerated. Anyone found to have been engaged in harassment, threats, or willful disruption will have their event registration revoked and will be removed from the event venue by management. Police may be notified depending on the incident.
Prohibited items on site include illegal substances, weapons (both functioning and fake), sharp blades, and any items that could be mistaken for weapons.
Children must be continuously accompanied by an adult attendee 21 years or older throughout their time on the event site.
Any attendee found in violation of these rules may be asked to leave the event without refund and the option to return.
By attending the event, guests consent to having their likeness captured and potentially published by event staff in photos and videos that may be used for archival or promotional purposes.
In attending the event, all guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the BurgQuest staff and event management from any claims of damages to themselves or their belongings resulting due to their participation in the event.
BurgQuest is dedicated to providing accessibility options for event guests. The event venue is wheelchair accessible, and reserved parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for ASL interpreters should be made two weeks prior to the start of the event.
