We’re excited to offer a treasure trove of gaming opportunities, from the massive MAGFest tabletop library to small group sessions and accessible game tournaments for veterans and newcomers alike. All of the events below require a BurgQuest badge to attend, and some have additional pre-event or on-site registration - check out the details on these special offerings below!
Tabletop Game Library
No reservations or advanced registration are required to check out unlimited board games from the MAGFest tabletop library throughout the weekend. Just visit the library, check out a game, and get to playing!

Private RPG Session - Call of Cthulhu with Ross Bryant
Ross Bryant presents: Call of Cthulhu: Cthulhu by Gaslight. Enter the decadent and dangerous world of the 19th century, where Victorian social etiquette conceals roiling passions and mind-melting cosmic horrors! Join Keeper of Arcane Lore Ross Bryant for a TTRPG session rich in roleplay, intrigue, and madness. Just because the sun never sets on the British empire doesn't mean there aren't things lurking in the shadows…
Space for these one-shot campaigns are extremely limited, with room for up to 4 players per session. Knowledge of the basic rules of Call of Cthulhu is encouraged but not necessary. Pregenerated player characters, paper, pencils, and dice will be provided. Limited to guests ages 18+.

IMPROV WORKSHOP - Weird people, places, and things! WITH IFY NWADIWE
One of the main tentpoles of the curriculum at Upright Citizen's Brigade is "the game", which is the unusual aspect of an improv scene that is explored for comedy. It's also one of the most commonly misunderstood and tough aspects for students at the start of their improv journey. In this workshop, Ify is going to help you understand how to identify the game and explore it with your scene partners. Working through the different ways it may present itself, along with the varied opportunities to interact with in scenes. Suitable for all skill levels.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Tournament
SLG Events is proud to host a Pokémon TCG tournament at this year’s BurgQuest.
Join SLG Events for this Standard format event. The tournament will follow the official Pokémon tournament ruleset, and all attendees will compete in a single age division.
Schedule - Sunday, Sept 27
• Check in: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM
• Tournament start: 11:00 AM
Please arrive prepared with a Standard legal deck and a completed deck list. Blank deck lists will be available on site for anyone who needs one.
Players will compete in best of one Swiss rounds, followed by a single elimination top cut based on attendance. Top finishers will receive an amazing lineup of prizes provided by SLG Events.

Virtual Flea Market
Buy and trade your games at BurgQuest! The Virtual Flea Market is an online marketplace where attendees can buy and sell games in advance of BurgQuest, then attend a dedicated meetup to connect and complete their transactions in person. If you can’t make the group meetup time you can set up an alternate time to connect at the event. Sellers can import their games individually or import a list from BoardGameGeek, and games can be sold at fixed price or as an auction. A 2% is charged by the platform to cover costs.

POGs Tournament
Dust off those milk caps and slammers, cause it’s time for the raddest throwdown since the 1990s! The game is simple: stack up your cardboard discs, then smack them with a heavier metal disc and hope as many flip over as possible. A learn-to-play session will precede the tournament, giving everyone a chance to practice stacking and slamming before the main event with color commentary from a team of self-proclaimed POGs experts. POGs will be provided, though attendees are welcome to bring their own.

Goblins & Growlers will be running one-shot campaigns of Dungeons & Dragons and other RPGs for group or individual signups during the weekend. Additional fees apply.

Harp Lessons
Join harpist Erin Roukous (@ErinGoHarp) for hands-on free folk harp demos. If you feel the calling, sign up for a Harp Quest Workshop: learn the basics and get jamming on this magical and ancient instrument. Workshops are offered Saturday at 4:00 and 6:00 pm, and Sunday at 3:00 pm. Spaces extremely limited; 6 guests per session. (Absolutely no experience required; instruments provided 1:1; Fee: $20)
